Honorary Fellows
The establishment of fellowship in the Hong Kong Academy of Social Work (the Academy) is to recognize and appreciate the social work leaders who have contributed to the development of social work as a profession.
The Academy recognizes a group of renowned social work leaders in honoring their remarkable contributions to the development of social work profession by awarding the Honorary Fellowship. This fellowship is a lifelong honor.
Nomination of Honorary Fellows shall be proposed by two Honorary Fellows and endorsed by the Advisory Committee of the Academy.
Honorary Fellows shall commit to the mission and provide support to the work of the Academy.
Termination of Fellowship Those who have, by any act contravened the Code of Practice for Registered Social Workers issued under the Social Workers Registration Ordinance (Cap. 505), committed misconduct or neglect in any professional respect, injured the interest of the Academy, or brought the Academy into disrepute. The decision has to be endorsed by the Advisory Committee of the Academy.
